Job details:
  • The instructor is a direct care clinical position. 
  • The FBS Instructor shall be at least 18 years of age, able to read and write, understand and follow directions; and at minimum meet the requirements of an Associate professional (or higher) according to 10A NCAC 27G .0104. 
  • Master’s degree in a human services field with less than 1 year of post‑graduate mental health/substance use experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field with less than 2 years of post‑bachelor mental health/substance use experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a non‑human‑services field with less than 4 years of relevant experience.
  • In addition to the above requirements, the FBS Instructor must meet credentialing, training, experience, and supervision requirements to provide child and adolescent day treatment and partial hospitalization as indicated in DMA Clinical Coverage Policy 8A. 
  • The FBS Instructor is responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate direct preventive and therapeutic interventions to accomplish the goals of the PCP, as related to the mental health or substance abuse diagnosis for those receiving services under the supervision of a Qualified Professional. 
  • The Instructor shall report to the Lead Instructor.
